Fischer - Prodigy
Check out the Fischer Prodigy junior skis. Ah, to be young again. I'd love to take up skiing these days if I was a kid. The stuff they have for kid's skis is off the wall. In my day, we were just given long, straight, and heavy skis and told to go ski. We did, obviously, and still had a great time, but imagine having a light, fun, snappy twin tip ski that was easy to turn and incredibly playful. It's all the things we want in adult skis, just in a 135, 145, or 155 cm length. At 80 mm underfoot, the skis have a good width to them for true all-mountain skiing, especially in those shorter lengths. On a shorter ski, the waist width gets relatively wider, so that 80 skis a lot wider in the shorter ski. Look for playful flotation in the soft snow because of this as well as the freeski dual-rocker profile. I feel like I would have been a lot better off if I had rockered skis when I was a kid. In the 145, the skis generate a 12-meter turn radius, so these things are capable of laying down some mean carves. The twin tip shape is perfect for aspiring park and pipe skiers, and the snappy nature of the fiberglass laminates make it incredibly energetic off the lips of the jumps, whether you're going forward or backwards. For junior skiers who love to put it all together out there on the hill, look to the Fischer Prodigy skis.
